Finding Dory Nail Art

Finding Dory Nails | Mint Mani 2016 Nail Art Design Tutorial
 Hello Nail Artists!

It is that time again and here are my "Finding Dory" nail design done with mint pigments over a Dazzledry blue fantasy and going in with the foil glue that you can find on Ebay for next to nothing. Here the Idea is just to introduce the Mint Mani for July in a very special way.

For the month of July I encourage you and other nail artists to do a mint manicure and hashtag it #mintmani #glamwars #taliaslegacy #angelsfortalia #taliajoy18 and any others you find along your path that will help raise awareness for childrens cancer. My story is simple...I was with my mother when she passed away from cancer and to know children suffer with this disease changed my life. To know Talia Joy was a fan of mine and to know I was a fan of hers after her passing hurt my heart and I had wished I had done more. I mean, I can do ANY nail design right? The ones in july are as special as I can make them now. If not only because they are from the heart, they are real and true to me and what I hold dear. Her family is a CONTINUAL powerhouse of energy, going to hospitals year around, being there for so many to make them smile and feel pretty. It is my duty as a human on this earth to help where I can and in that, I feel happy. I feel joy. My motto before was I was learning to swim. Now, I "keep swimming" and she taught me that I had become a swimmer and I will never feel go backwards. She brought to my life more than I can say and so I do my July nail designs in her honor as much as possible. Please tell your stories and keep hashtagging until we find a cure for this horrible disease and I will see you out there in the sea, swimming. :D My love and respect

Robin

Summer Nail Art Trends 2016: Spotlight Nails!

Hi everyone!

People ask me all the time what I feel the trends are and are not. Do I like stiletto nails, duckfoot nails, aquarium nails, etc. I have to say I pass on most of them. I DO buy things I think I will love once IF I can afford it because over time you see so much stuff come and go and you begin to know what stays. I also am very aware of what doesnt. I am also very aware of what will keep my clients happy. So, without much more to say, I will say spotlight nails is a trend I have named and I am sticking to it. I like them. They use no more polish than usual...The spots that get most messed up on your clients don't get touched with this trend. You dont fall behind on time with your clients. You can do this effectively and without much thought or trying to find 40 different things to create a 'look'. That trend? "spotlight nails" it is a center gradient that creates a spotlight effect and then you can do a design over the top. Soon everyone will be stamping over it and it won't be as pretty out in the internets, but for now....it is a lovely trend that allows you to create a glow without having to spend 40.00 on a product discontinued next monday. It allows you to create ideas in your head of what you want to spotlight without companies coming in and stealing them for ersatz renditions of your perfectly spot-lit? is that a word........? It is now! Haha! Spotlit nail art. So enjoy while it lasts, I hope it isnt oversaturated by Christmas. I have a few Ideas. Have fun painting!

Ladybug Nail Design Tutorial

Here are "daisy nails" with Ladybugs! I have used Dazzledry's Polar Jade on the tips and added cute, red lady bugs all over to create a little cute spring or summer scene design on the nails. I hope you like them. Here are other ladybug designs i have done on nails!

Found in the "cute nails" playlist on youtube, i have done a few different designs using ladybugs using pink and blue backgrounds. I have even made 3d gel ladybugs and used the gel as stones when they harden in the lamp! very easy, cheap and fun technique for any nail artist, whether you are beginning nails or are wanting more education for your career, these nail designs will help improve your craft!
So, If you want to break off from the traditional red, white and blue nails this summer....try some ladybugs on blue! with the white daisies, they are patriotic nails that are also cute for the day after the fireworks are over!
